Amie’s Mission

Amie’s mission for horses is a simple one: to train and produce happy horses who are capable of the jobs they’re being trained and ridden for, confident in themselves and the people around them, and capable of maximizing their potential. Each horse is different and has their own path in training and in life, no set time limit can be placed on training horses.

Her passion for young horses and training them began early at age 12 when she got her first horse, Rebel Graffiti. Rebel was a 2.5-year-old American Paint horse with only 60 days under saddle! Her parents didn’t know what they didn’t know at the time and Rebel turned out to be a wonderful first horse for Amie. Rebel gave Amie her first lessons in patience, understanding, and how to train a horse (with the help of professionals along the way). Amie’s Mission for riders is similar to that of the horses she trains: to train and build up happy riders, who are capable of riding their horses and others, confident in themselves to be effective and educated riders, and capable of being the best version of themselves for their horse. Amie is also a great believer in educating her riders on horse care and well-being. She wants every rider to know that they are their horse’s advocate, they cannot speak for themselves, so it is up to us to know our horses.

Amie is here for the riders and horses who don’t want to show, want to show occasionally, or want to show regularly. If you have ever felt like you have had less access to quality dressage training because of showing requirements then know that this will never be a requirement or commitment involved in training with Amie. She is very passionate about working with riders and horses at all levels and stages of life who are keen on improving themselves for their benefit as equestrians outside of accomplishments in a show ring. Sometimes the biggest wins happen at home without many people to witness the success. Don’t let not wanting to show slow you down from reaching your goals!
